Our Love do not forsake

Our Love is deep, like a dark lake—
Yet shallow, that We cannot slake
Our thirst, for Fear’s own sake!

Resentment brings the heart to ache
With pain akin to a driven stake—
I wish to mend and heal this break!

What’s in the past I cannot unmake—
All I can do is undertake
To avoid repeating the same mistake.

All I have’s for you to take—
My love is genuine, not fake!
If only I could this World remake!

In the end, of love We will partake
Our fill, but just of what we make—
Therefore, Our Love do not forsake!
